Ive heard of this. Looks tight. Going to add this to my list but next up I want something a bit more grand and theatrical.
You'll love the duels on Ghost if you're looking for something cinematic, hell even just roaming about is an experience in itself
Way of the Samurai some heat too, not a big budget series ( not even an average budget tbh ) but it does things no other samurai game does, i’d still recommend playing the games
Total War: Shogun 2 is good if u like total war games
Man I wish this was on console. Been fiending for a true samurai strategy game. On ps5 though.
Sekiro

This may be the one man. Everything about it sounds perfect. Im like halfway through cyberpunk. I may put it down until they update it for next gen and then start GOT.
i got this game thinking it’d be like xcom and i just couldn’t get into it enough to finish the tutorial level. were you into it right away?
I used to play squad stealth games as a kid, so I was instantly into it.
the game is supposed to be a spiritual successor to a very, very niche subgenre i.e. Desperadoes, Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, and the classic Commandos games.
it's a stealth game that is basically a puzzle. imo, the tutorial is w/e. the missions get better and better as you continue, and you can get really immersed in the gameplay. the story's pretty cool too. the only really thing that gates new players is how hard the game is.
Not related to this thread @op but if u haven’t played Shadow Of The Colossus remake yet than that should be a priority above every other game
Im def more into open word games but im not opposed to a linear game if the quality is high.
So would GOT be more witcher 3 esque in a japanese setting and Sekiro is more like Linear in the way God of War is?
GOT is not real open world or an RPG lol it’s s***ty Ubisoft open world, so it’s really nothing like Witcher 3
In all seriousness I would’ve got GOT if they had it for pc
I bought a ps4 to play last of us 2, God of War, and GOT...it was worth it tbh
Damn no Nioh love
I seen Nioh 2 hitting Steam next year, so I'mma try out 1 before then

lol yeah it also was pretty hard. you convinced me to try it out again though
GoT you actually feel like a samurai. Draws heavy inspiration from Kurosawa films and westerns and stays faithful to the aesthetic. It gives you lots of incentive to play more ninja-like with lots of assassin type tools but I had so much fun just approaching every enemy head on like a samurai.
Visuals are phenomenal and while the gameplay is similar to AC I find it does pretty much everything better.
I’m a huge dark souls fan and have played all of them since 2013 when I copped DS1, and frankly I’ve yet to get further than 2 hours into Sekiro.
