i dont really f*** with live zeppelin too much in general
yeah i dont have a single live gem from them
were probably amazing live but didnt seem to improve the songs like some other goats could. probably just speaks to their studio mastery.

were probably great to actually see live back in the day but Page seems too inconsistent and sloppy live and not in a good way. plus multiple guitar tracks with his production really helped the studio sound. plant with some more annoying vocal histrionics live too
i havent heard much tho im sure there are some great bootlegs but i havent been interested to dig deep

i always like to hear Keef talking s*** on them
"Jimmy Page, yeah. Shy boy."

and im still impressed by how much praise Keef heaped on Small Faces/Humble Pie, "whatever Marriot is doing"
also Steve Marriot talking about his transition to Humble Pie this year like hes a sage old rock veteran but he was still f***ing 22

"the record is based a lot on the film 2001. It's a mixture of Salvador Dali, 2001 and The Bee-Gee's"
3 of the old Yarbirds had a prog album/band called Renaissance this year
checking it out now
(Paul Samwell Smith producing before he hit big with Cat Stevens next year)
theres no way Canada was ever touching this level of classic again @Galaxy
Leonard, Neil, Joni, Guess Who and The Band all peaking

bold move for Leonard to choose a song he didnt even write for a single, especially cause its a haunting ww2 era song about partisans fighting fascists (USA now at the height of Vietnam
)

neve a huge Joni fan but im starting to see why this is considered one of the the iconic canadian songs

this almost came out too
never wouldve guessed the studio 54 disco jam was Gordon Lightfoot

havent heard the debut but Renaissance is an essential prog band with Annie Haslam singing a few years later. classic symphonic
