What is salsa exactly

the most basic definition would be a melting pot of various cuban (mostly) and puerto rican genres that came together in NYC.

a lot of people my grandfather's age saw it as a b******ized version of what was being played in cuba (ESPECIALLY the genre that basically preceded it in popularity, boogaloo) , but it is its own thing!

I got to check out so much extra music for 1970 cause I finally got on Spotify but man the fancy Bose bluetooth earbuds I been using have finally triggered actual tinnitus they don't even seem loud but I suspect the noice cancelling traps too much sound or something.

Been off any headphones for a few weeks to give my ears a break and had to get the stupid dongle so I can plug my less damaging Marshall wired earbuds in next time I really need them.

Had to listen to 3000s album on my Senny cans that have zero noise cancellation.

One of the biggest track sequencing travesties of all time was when Mike Love's s*** ass Student Demonstration Time made the cut on Surfs Up instead of this masterpiece from Denis

and this extended version of Till I Die when you swap these in for Student Demonstration Time the album really does rival Pet Sounds
