Im sure they've got plenty of their own goats we aren't aware of yet
of course but its a high bar for me now
I don’t know if I posted this during 73, but I finally listened to the album in full and the follow up he did in 76. This guy is a pretty underappreciated singer/songwriter and pop virtuoso. Similar to Todd Rundgren or Emitt Rhodes. There’s tracks on here that sound like Neil Young by way of Brian Wilson. Brilliant pop songwriting juxtaposed with tracks that come across like they’re on the verge of madness. The follow up from 76 sands off the edges, but makes up for it with how immaculately arranged and consistent it is.

Yeah I've had both Slade albums in rotation, definitely some great highlights.
Dont think I was getting a lot of Oasis though

How Does It Feel and Far Far Away are very Oasis to me. Noel even said Slade were more a core part of their sound than the Beatles and cited that first song. I totally hear the latter in their big anthemic stuff like Don’t Look Back in Anger. Summer Song (Wishing You Were Here) also captures that feeling.
amazing
ok we've been on this year longer than I thought lol gonna try and wrap it up asap

In Trance is a great album but that's for 1975
"Metal Hammer included Fly To The Rainbow on their list of "50 most hilariously ugly rock and metal album covers ever". Staff writer Simon Young wrote: "Despite their success, Scorpions have played fast and loose with what constitutes a decent album cover. That milk carton helmet would provide no protection when you're flying around with bin lids for feet. But that's Scorpions for you. Visionaries when it comes to unorthodox footwear."
