I think I still struggle with full instrumental records. I tend to gravitate towards interesting personalities/voices, so I’m left a little empty without one to latch onto. Still good for what it is. I heard a few of their later songs and really liked those, so maybe next time.
The latter is more like a Caravan track (which makes sense since the change in the lineup). It also sounds like some 90’s britpop.

man Ruffin just has the one of the richest and best vocal timbres ever

This album is pretty generic, but there’s this gem which feels ahead of its time. Production wise some of this is very 80’s.

not even sure where I heard about it but it's definitely some fellacore. Tricksy stuff.I’m pretty sure I told you about it. It’s annoying cause there’s two versions of their album from 75 with dramatically different tracklists. I like the UK version better. It has these on it.
The US version is a little too schizophrenic for me. The UK version better satisfies that Roxy Music meets Genesis mesh they’re going for.
