returning from hiatus halfway through the year. some heads think its underrated but i think its probably the least good year they had '67. Kinda just warming up for the massive peak of 1977, Hart rejoining as second drummer

some more classics being introduced into the repertoire but theyre all better in '77

@Elric Jerry Garcia solo album is very good though. has a few classics including 2 of the most underrated/rare Dead ballads

ill post prog recs later but i think the anglosphere is getting a bit dryer for them at this point

which scenes/subgenres do you think were popping off hardest this year

hard to say cuz a few of my favs were waning compared to '75

probably still hard rock. Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, ted Nugent,BOC, Scorpions, Rush, Zeppelin, early Priest, UFO, the harder side of southern rock. lot more American bands now. and some of the earlier forays into the commercial sound that would continue to grow into 80s with stuff like Kiss and Boston.

and all the funk/soul still going super strong and not getting absorbed into disco movement yet
