If you are trying to save money the gen1 can get really good deals from sonos refurbished. Got gen 1 for $200 last summer

sound bar without a sub is just sad

problem with bookshelf speakers is if your living room is big enough and you have seats on the left and right side then the sound becomes unbalanced.
