Rn I have Spotify but it's expiring and I'm not sure if I should renew it or get Tidal. Willing to pay a little more for better quality, but I don't want to pay like $20 a month for Tidal's premium service. What do u guys think
what kind of headphones/speakers do you have? have you ever tried doing a blind test to see if you can really tell the difference between lossy and lossless audio?

My headphones are Audio Technica ATH-M50Xs. I usually plug into my laptop, but I'll use my phone on the go. I haven't done that, no.
tidal is the best in terms of quality but bro if you on the fence and money is an issue, id stick with spotify.
Spotify has the second best sound quality
I've used all streaming services and Tidal is the only one with noticeable sound improvement.
keep in mind you can get a free trial tho, so I recommend trying a free trial of tidal, and deciding on wether its worth paying the fee
spotify quality sucks
been using it for the last 3 days
lmao it has the second highest bit rate. Apple music is the worst but it's not much of a noticeable difference at all
I feel like even Tidal regular version sounds better than Spotify
I use Spotify though for non sound quality reasons
I hate Tidal Hifi tho because they throw out free trials like there’s no tomorrow

bitrate is not the be all end all lol. Apple’s 256 AAC is better than Spotify’s 320 because spotify uses an outdated codec. it is well accepted that AM sounds cleaner and more balanced
it’s tidal hifi > AM > spotify for sound quality

I mean I guess ive used all 3 for years on end and between am and spotify I can't really hear much of a noticeable difference
