Sacre Coeur Basilica
Louvre
if you want to go out hmu
why?
Lmfao don't listen to these uncultured idiots. It's the goat city in the whole world and if you immerse yourself in all it has to offer, it's the best place ever. I did a study abroad there when I was in college, and went back a few years ago, and am going back again next year. I'll drop some random info for you here about it, but feel free to ask me about anything else, I love helping other people explore it!
Replying to some of the things you put in OP: Place de vosges is super nice. Three days is super tough for Paris because there's SO much to see. Personally, I would skip going inside any of the big tourist attractions (Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe), and just check them out from the outside (either by walking by or going on a Seine boat cruise (this is super nice to do in the evening/sunset). Montmarte & Sacre Coeur are definitely awesome to check out together. If you're into art, the Louvre is totally worth all of the hype, but it could easily take up 2 full days if you want to see everything. Or you could check what you want to see ahead of time and shorten the trip there. The Orsay is much smaller (but still pretty large), I actually like it more than the Louvre.
Some great food places I recommend: crepe stands (cheap as hell, super available everywhere, and amazing), La Grange Aux Canards (amazing duck...they make it almost like teriyaki steak or something, unreal), Strada Cafe (best french toast ever), Birdy (amazing burgers), go in to practically any boulangerie and get a pastry...it's pretty hard to find one that isn't 10000000x better than pastries you'd get in America.
Versailles is a must. It's like a 30 minute train ride from Paris. The palace is cool if you're into history, but the gardens are truly one of the most amazing things you'll ever see.
Parks that are nice to check out: Buttes-Chaumont, Luxembourg Gardens, Tuileries Gardens, bois de boulogne, Jardin des Plantes, Champ de Mars
Not sure if you're looking to do much nightlife since you're going with your family, but bringing a bottle of wine and just drinking on the banks of the Seine is GOAT
Château Vincennes is a really awesome medieval castle to just walk through and explore, never usually super busy either
I could go on but again 3 days is super tough to fit a lot into. Just let me know if you have any questions about any of that stuff or have something else in mind you wanna see and I'll let you know what I know!

Let me know if there’s something specific you want to see…with a few extra days you can go on trips outside of Paris and see the amazing gardens at Claude Monets house in Giverny or Vaud Le-Vicomte (like a small version of Versailles with way less people and is lit up at night). But 6 days is still more than enough time to fill with just seeing places within Paris itself still.
go to the rodin museum
montmarte is an amazing area too - always go there when i'm in paris
dali museum is there too
got to pâtisserie végétale in 11th arr
Sound like New Orleans
nice to see the french tradition is still strong in New Orleans
