With theatres opening back up I was thinking about how some of my favourite theatre experiences came from movies that I didn't expect a lot from/had low expectations for, like
Snakes on a Plane - I was pretty young seeing this but the energy in the theatre was the first time the crowd improved the movie for me. SLJ's snakes line had the whole theatre going crazy
Paranormal Activity 3 - I think this movie was better than anyone in the crowd had expected, everyone was into it
Project X - seeing this on a Friday night during high school with a theatre packed full of students was one of my favourites as well
Other than common ones (like "Avenger's Assemble" in Endgame), what are your unexpectedly great movie theatre experiences?
saw Get Out in the city (a bunch of black people) and the audience was so dramatically more fun and responsive than when I later saw it again but in the suburbs (bunch of white peoples)

Same here that’s how I saw the first time, s*** was a goat theater experience.
Saw it again in a different environment and it felt like a complete different movie based off crowd reaction.
