This been said countless times but it just looks like gorgeous ghibli art, color palette is so bright and colorful it evokes heavy emotions in me since zelda is my favorite video game series
What would you list as your favorite box arts then

Ngl i prefered this too back then, but the color palette in the european version are more pleasant to me and bring back so much nostalgia. This one gives off a feeling of an endless adventure which is great but doesnt have as much of an emotional pull as the european one. Tbh they should've just put both covers and let you decide which one you want

Tbh I'm not that huge on Video game cover art I think they're always kind of the same thing with the hero, I wish we would get more abstract and more subtle artworks

Those are great picks, in general i tend to like drawn cover arts more than the cgi ones. Also, i probably am one of the few that loves to stare at box arts i love for a long ass time and its the main reason i always buy physical so there's that. Cover arts are important to me in every genre, from music to games to books to manga so i feel emotionally attached to them almost as much as their respective piece of media

Mass Effect 3 cover art is pretty cool

Yeah its sad that's the philosophy behind most of them. Tbh all games have the protagonist on the cover but a lot get creative or at least put some effort and that's appreciated. Many great examples of that itt too
