Thank Me Later was seen as a disappointment after So Far Gone, but has seemed to grow on fans.

Recovery was seen as a return to form for Eminem upon release, but later was derided for introducing a lot of things people dislike about modern Em (screaming grating vocals, corny punchlines, poppy choruses).

Both are pretty dated to the era, mostly due to production since they both matched the production of the time for the most part.

This is a good question I’d say both albums are about on the same level, but Recovery is way more nostalgic to me and has some of the most personal Eminem songs, in a sense it’s a peak for Eminem and TML isn’t for Drake he improved his sound after that. Also Eminem raps better despite being corny.
