I personally think Freddie is the better vocalist as his voice has more range, depth and variance. Plus I think he has better vocal perfomances that laps anything MJ ever released such as his live perfomance of "Barcelona" and also Live Aid

Freddie Mercury had an impressive vocal range but I don't like his voice and barely any of the music. Strictly vocally he might be as good or better than MJ but didn't use it nearly as good imo

Technically not what this type of question is about, but application is still important to me here. Freddie might‘ve had a good voice, but MJ had a good voice and good music. So, he’s the better singer imo.

Freddie might have been better at hitting notes from a technical standpoint but MJ had the charisma, funk thing going on that makes him more entertaining for me. Both great though.

Yeah I was thinking it was tough but even though I acknowledge Freddie’s range & skill I’ll always rather listen to MJ just because his voice is that good on the ears for long listening sessions

Mj voice is much better

MJ had the better tonal quality for me, though Freddie probably the better technical singer and definitely a more powerful voice. MJ’s stylistic change to his vocals (that began in bad era and continued after) is my least favorite from him, but his Off The Wall/Thriller and child days are solid.
