    I was listening to So Much Fun the other day and was wondering could Thug drop a smf2 today or drop the same album today. I don't think he could, Punk is definitely going to be different in vibe but it's going to also be more serious in tonality even if he isn't talking about street s***.

    What? SMF only came out less than 2 years ago

    I'm not saying it's bad at all but his contemporaries like Lil Baby, Uzi & Future all dropped better trap albums than Thug did not long after, it just puts it in perspective listening to smf

    I could also add that Wunna & Hood baby 2 was better than smf but I'm not trying to make a list because Punk is about to be better than So Much Fun.

    I actually think Thug can make So Much Fun in his sleep

    Seems like he finally capitulated to the crowd that wanted him to make bangers or music that was more palatable for the mainstream listener.

    Despite the album’s critical acclaim the hardcore thug/cult fans want him to get back into creative-creative eclectic bag.

    It’s supply and demand

    Thug seems like he prefers the weirder trap music (darker organs, unique flows, crazy ad-libs, using his voice as an instrument) to the common “trap banger”

    I'm liking this era of Thug alot, it's shaping up to be great so far, all feats & singles fire.

    Just seemed like a weird comment considering not much has changed since it dropped in like 2 years lol

    But yeah SMF was never anything special idk why it got THAT much acclaim, but then again s*** like EA did too and it sounded like your typical Uzi album

    His albums preceding SMF definitely set him apart from his peers tho.

    SMF Thug's worst project by far

  • Apr 7, 2021

    polarizing = thug
    prolific = future

  • Apr 7, 2021

    thug personally but both are goats

    i just think thug and way he can switch his vocal inflections and flows means that every song feels unique while future sometimes blends into each other

    i’m not hip to CH discog nor do i intend to be anytime soon but when it comes to releasing often multiple projects a year whether it be a collab or EP or a YSL project in thugs case
    these guys are pretty prolific, especially compared to many other artists.

    and they built up quite a catalogue in a relatively short amount of time, that has a lot of quality imo

    Yeah I’m not tryna knock what they do, there’s just levels. Charles in his prime (07-10) was dropping at least 20 full length projects each year, with pretty much all of it quality. Like 5 classic worthy projects a year
