beyoncé PLEASE pop up on K Michelle and Mickey’s albums 🙏🏽

Gotten two listens in today and I got takes:

I’m putting Renaissance above this in a vacuum album vs album, but a) I’m obviously biased toward dance and b) this is a goddamn good album and a fantastic follow-up. I don’t remember the last series of releases this ambitious from an artist of her caliber. Folklore and Evermore are great, but this is a whole other level of statement. Maybe Blonde & Endless? I can’t f***ing wait to see what act iii ends up being if this is where we’re coming from.

My biggest critique overall is the length, particularly when some of the sequencing hits lulls. Main culprit imo is II Most Wanted through The Linda Martell Show, I gotta say I can’t get into Levii’s Jeans in particular at all but that’s really not the worst problem to have when it always pulls you back in with an absolute stunner of a track. It felt like every 3rd or 4th song on first listen I was saying damn, this has to be the best one lol.

Blackbiird, Bodyguard, Spaghettii, Alliigator Tears, Ya Ya, Desert Eagle, the entire run of songs from Riiverdance onward are the standouts for me so far. Hell of an album, I’m absolutely loving the bag she’s in right now.

Like Christ, if her next album is actually a rock album then it’s over.

There's like 6 interludes here. Should have just been cut or merged with the main song like the one before Ya-Ya.

Ya-Ya, 16 Carriages, 2 Hands 2 Heaven, Sweet Honey Buckin are great.
I don't like most others. Album is decent but major stepdown from Renaissance but I was never into Hick music so still pretty good considering that.

I started listening to Beyonce yesterday but Tyrant is the best song on here

Interesting idea to mix country, r&b, and hop hop, but I think I’m feeling those tracks the least

Tracks like 16 Carriages > tracks like Tyrant

it’s got 11 more tracks than RENAISSANCE so i’m sure that plays a part, in addition to it being the superior album
