How could we think that when it was reminded to us every day that he didn't (nor did he try to act like he did)
Because beyhive aint making threads about it lol
Wish tierra did more s*** like this while we talk bout niggas and country

ima learn square dancing frfr
-comes from a fanbase that acts like son invented dancehall
let alone how they postured about HNVM being “experimental” when it dropped lol

Post was about Beyhive writing tweets about who's allowed to make country music and black people in it (which they would do for any genre she decided to step into), not about how they think she's the first to do it

Experimental for Drake, yes
Yall so disingenuous sometimes
See how yall made this about Drake and not me?
It's weird

Errbody allowed just respect the ogs
Southern imagery and references has always been a characteristic of Beyoncé’s career (see: B’Day). So a country album and this whole cowgirl thing seems more of a natural progression of her career, especially after Daddy Lessons, instead of this whole “reclaiming genres” (?) thing
why not both
Don’t see how it’s a bizarre take to say she felt more like a person on self titled and Lemonade vs Act 1 where she was more like a conduit for other people’s stories. And I like that album
i get what you mean. i liked Renaissance too but there were times listening to some of the lyrics where it was like “does she even really talk like this?” her voice (in terms of word choice) was so different from previous albums that it felt hard to connect with
but like bro said, listen to 16 Carriages if you want that real Beyoncé feeling back. that’s the song that people who claim her music isn’t honest or heartfelt should hear
Literally listen to 16 carriages man lol
Felt this way with the job lyrics on Break My Soul too
Interesting cover for the Texas Hold 'Em song, very fitting for a 42 year old with kids...

Almost like she’s a pop artist. Do you make these type comments about Madonna?

Explain what it is then. Because we know what it looks like
Both singles fire.
I’ve been waiting for this album since Daddy’s Lesson. Inshallah, she delivers

Suck my D*** from the back you b****!
THIS is the “rock album”
I believe she will do different genres including country, folk, soft-rock, guitar ballads, etc
Just like Renaissance wasn’t all house

If anything, this will sound more like a roots album, with some electronics, than a rock album.
The rock album is next.
