Aaliyah and Beyonce fans have had their differences over the years. However if Aaliyah was still alive I think Bey would’ve respected her and the other way around. You can sense the mutual respect just from this brief moment.

This part I tend to agree with Aaliyah fans, Bey is not the actor Aaliyah was. I don’t they would’ve shared the stage in Hollywood. In music though for sure.

Beyoncé’s acting is mid, but she has stronger chops overall when she’s given the correct role.. her performances as Deena and Etta James in Cadillac records is stronger than anything Aaliyah did.. Baby girl bodies Queen of the Damned because of her ‘presence’.. the role didn’t require any strenuous performances from her end

I see your point. Aaliyah and Beyonce would’ve had different roles. However I think Aaliyah would’ve been taking more seriously as an actor. Her role in The Matrix would’ve done wonders for her.
