Did an amazing job with vaccines. Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan is a great thing too. But he also fumbled hard on $15 minimum wage and hasn’t done anything to combat police brutality.

Not bad. Vaccine distribution has been great, getting that stimulus package passed was good. Can’t really expect him to do too much right now being that’s it’s only been 3 months and he’s got another 45 months to go.

There’s a lot he can do better on and I’d prefer that he doesn’t try to compromise with the right. Still I’m not expecting much overall

First of all, detractors have no stake in this plan being seen as a success. So hear me out if you will. The claim is a marketing thing, because the credit hasnt been in place for long enough to have such an impact, however it's a product of a***ysis by economists and statisticians. Obviously it hasnt cut child poverty in half yet, but it could, and likely will, have a huge impact on child poverty

Most OECD developed countries had a form of child credit either as a welfare payment or tax credit. Doesnt matter which it is because it is a transfer regardless.

There is no reason a drop will not occur as a result of Biden introducing this credit. To say otherwise is to fly in the face of common sense. Whether it's half or not, you're looking at an expansion of the welfare state in a way that benefits many kids. Denial is stupid

Note where it says the impact this will have on RACIAL lines. This policy will benefit POC kids. I've yet to see a single decent counter to this plan. You can say it maybe isnt far enough sure, and I'd maybe agree, but to say Biden has done nothing is absurd.
