I just don't support the system that is designed to keep these people I work with down, the people who are struggling just to survive, the family members whose brother was murdered by police. The workers who have the fruits of their labor stolen from them daily and whose hopes for change are frustrated every election.

The best way to "care about people" is to work towards a world that won't leave them behind, won't forget them in the name of profits, won't force them to work in unsafe conditions and will allow them to always have food for their family along with a roof over their head.
