Crazy how covid is no longer a big threat after Biden was sworn in. It is almost like covid was just used for political interest

Stop tying CEO pay to stock price and you'll see a more even distribution of wealth, but that will not happen under capitalism the way it is currently structured.

CEO compensation is up 970% since 1978, on average, while employee wages are only up 12% in that same period of time

Random to you, but I identified one of the the main issues with capitalism and causes of the wealth gap in America. I also gave a solution: stop tying CEO pay to stock price. I then inferred that capitalism is so stuck in its ways, that the institution itself will not allow significant enough change. Asking CEOs to cap their own pay in order to pay their employees better is not going to happen, put simply because capitalistic greed does not value individual humans.

I can break it down for you further if you need

what does CEO pay have to do with stock price.......

the tweet you sent was something defending a minimum wage raise. something that i agree needs to happen, and really is not dependent on capitalism existing or not existing. what the f*** is the point you’re trying to make 😭

Read the article before you talk s*** then.. since 1978 when CEO pay and bonuses began to be tied more and more to stock price, CEO pay has skyrocketed. Corporations figure out the bare minimum they need to pay people to run the company and report profit to shareholders. The better the stock performs, the more bonuses/stock the CEO receives, and the cycle continues.

I’m not reading a stupid ass article that really has nothing to do with what we’re discussing. Especially considering I work in finance and can tell you there isn’t a direct linkage between those two variables. Sure, there may be correlation, but there’s no causation in this case. Why would a higher expense on the balance sheet excite shareholders? You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, you sound like a f***ing idiot

Besides, most of the best companies have to pay their employees well. There’s so much competition nowadays for talent than there used to be. People don’t stay at the same employer for 20 years anymore

How is it a flex? You said I was dumb, and I explained that I’m far more intelligent than someone like yourself. It’s a fact, imagine calling yourself “PapiPedro” and thinking you’re intelligent 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
