I’m actually starting my own brand and one of my designs is kinna a Hellstar diss, have a couple other ideas for other brand “disses” too so im considering doing a drop of just those. Part of why I made this thread

I mean it’s definitely trendy and people wear it just cause they see others but if you see it in person and feel the quality its understandable. A ton of rappers wear it and ones that are considered stylish. It’s also understandable the amount of hate they get cause a lot of their designs are stupid/lazy but the overall “aesthetic” is what people have been after for a minute. Them doing some Christian looking designs recently is corny to me with the name. They are doing a lot of stuff right imo. That worn distress look that you see people post in their mock ups is actually what’s delivered, no other brand I’ve seen has nailed it as good. They also have multiple well designed logos which go a long way for a brand

If anyone is interested in getting in on this brand with me it’s going to work. I’ve got an ill name and plenty off ill ideas. I have close to 10 designs ready to go and endless ideas for others. I have a six color press in my garage and everything else needed. I currently have close to 30 pieces of Yeezy blanks that im going to print on in a couple days. I’ve got the ideas and the means, i can draw but haven’t done much in about 10 years and just picking it back up. Dont know hardly anything about graphic design. I am business minded and creative but the brand will be huge at some point so I’ll need people that have talents in every background that will help. Also if you know a better place I can try to find partners please lmk and if this ain’t the place to post im sorry mods

The good brands are cut and sewing everything now, only a relatively washed legacy brand could get away with hustling cheap graphics on even cheaper tees. ERD, Saint Mxxxxxx are the only ones that come to mind, otherwise streetwear is firmly out of it's 'graphics on a mediocre shirt' era

Very true, I think that as a brand it’s best to cut & sew all your own pieces but with everyone moving towards that it leaves a space for someone to grab the top spot of graphic designs if the ideas are strong enough. That’s why im trying to come up with bold/shocking designs that make people think about what it’s trying to say ontop of it being something cool to look at. Most people don’t notice all the details. A solid design on a heavyweight shaka or la apparel will make the average person “into streetwear” satisfied
