I deadass was thinking about making a thread for this album last week but I know KTT sleep on Payroll smh.
This album was a complete level up in every way from the first one with this being on a major label. The beats, the rhymes, the flows, the mix, everything... and considering the fact that Vol 1 was super fire as well shows they executed the perfect sequel
Rapped my way set the tone perfectly. Stack it stash it is super fire. The presidential Rollie/white houses bar was dope. Thing or 2 is stuntin s*** beat is crazy. Mail Long we all tryna do that. 5's & 6's might be the best song crazy beat. So many one liners throughout the album that anybody can apply to their life.
The outro is crazy. "I asked my plug if he had snapchat, he just laughed said naw but follow me on cash app" That nigga Big Quis came in so hard with the last verse. I wonder what that nigga said on the line they edited out... had to be sum crazy
This was one of the best albums of 2018 and still in rotation. Payroll and DBCO highkey the godfathers of the Detroit sound that popped off but I feel a lot of people outside of their region don't know who they are or give them credit but the influence is very apparent to those tapped in

yeah, KTT definitely sleeps on Payroll. His albums and his collabs with Cardo and other Detroit rappers like Peezy are incredible.
Great write up on those tracks.
Deep, In My Lifetime, Good Day to Get Money, and 10 Years, 1 Summer have really stuck with me for years to come. Just real music about life and how to move.
I wonder why this one was with a major label. Do you know the backstory on this?
The Detroit scene is so good. Peezy, Babyface Ray, Kash Doll, etc. make it great. Yachty was onto something with the Michigan Boy Boat album in terms of exploring that sound.
Appreciate the contribution to this thread man
I gotta go back and peep this one. But Another day Another Dollar is the one for me. They reached another level wit that one
