I watched the first season. Heard season 2 not worth it

Watched season 1 a few days ago and was like damn how did I never hear about this before, HBO had another one, cause season 1 was super f***ing good. Kidman, Witherspoon, Kravitz, Adam Scott, Laura Dern, Woodley, and Scarsgard all in their f***ing bags. Amazing acting performances

But yes, this is what I was about to say, season 2 was ridiculous. Streep jumped into the amazing cast and was a beast at first as expected but then her character got old/cheesy and the season 2 story in general just felt wayyyy too soap opera-y to me.

I know first season was based on a book then they had to create their own plot lines for the second season
