And if there both panned hard to a different ear you wont get those harsh effects
If you pan a duplicated take it will give weird phasing effect, can be useful depending on the sound you’re going for, but in 90% of cases it’s gonna sound bad

Not if you time shift one of the takes a lil bit, or if there eq'd/filtered differently on 2 separate channels and panned to two different ears

The time shift is a sneaky little trick, but I always prefer a new take cause it’s a whole different energy combining with your first take, which gives an even newer energy combination of both the takes

Im gonna go duplicate the same vocal 6 times and pan each set at 3 different corresponding values, with each set eq'd and filtered to pass a different freq range (low,mid,high) then maybe apply a diff effect chain to each set and post it
