Detroit rapper, calls album Detroit, proclaims self awakening
yet whole album lacks soulful music
im so torn on liking that beat lol
Same here, No ID is a legendary producer, no way he didn’t make this on purpose
This a real bar? 😭
Yeah
btw anyone know Sean raps like he leaves a comma and the end of a noun before writing on a new line?
im so torn on liking that beat lol
beat hard af
brass gets me everytime
but seeing prod by No ID shocked me
They could’ve cut some s*** and made this a really good album. Has some good songs, but also some of the worst Big Sean songs I’ve heard.

Agreed
I'd add that the disconnect Detroit rappers seem to have from motown's music is astonishing
You'd think at least one of them would actually use the city's music history or even the industrial aspect of it to make music... Idk
Big Sean got legendary singer/songwriter stevie wonder to talk on the album...
Y’all were loving this for the first hour now everyone hating on it,
all the ppl anticipating were in the thread right away, all the ppl waiting to hate in here now
some of y'all never satisfied, like what more you want from this guy, he spent like 80000$ for a beat and rapped his ass off every song and no suprise y'all still hate
Which beat cost that much
Which beat cost that much
it was an obvious exaggeration man , just tryna say the production is very good..

Beats aren’t that good man, also some niggas really about beats like that
Eminem really started his verse with "you never had a clever line" then said "pull a surprise like kendrick"
This guy is convinced his puns are the epitome of lyricism, it's tiring at this point...
i'm still wondering wtf Sean was thinking with that singing on Time In
A real shame since I really felt the verse on it
