For a long time I thought Macklemore apologizing to Kendrick for losing to him couldn't be topped as far as displays of a rapper bowing down to another rapper. To make matters worse, he even released the text HIMSELF.

But this Cole s*** got me in a different type of bag, and I feel like this might've just taken the crown. And the fact that it happened with the same rapper is just insane.

Cole’s is worse because he had actual weight behind is legacy

no one cared about Macklemore like that he just had a gimmick song that shouldn’t have won but it was still corny

I never understood why macklemore apologizing hurt him, and i dont think it did, he was never gonna be on top forever

The bigger take away is that Kendrick keeps making these rappers apologize.

Its because he just made himself look like a clown by posting the text apology publically which also pissed off other rappers like Drake who said "if hes gonna apologize to Kendrick then he should also apologize to all of us as well"

It made him look like a tryhard white knight, someone that cant be trusted in private & it pissed Rappers off that he "only apologized" to Kendrick

Macklemore is worst imo, it made it look like he's a kissass & not trustworthy

At least with Cole the history of their day 1 relationship can be used as an excuse & if he does work with Kendrick in the near future it'll make it look better in hindsight
