No album other than Scorpion has even crossed the 433M stream mark that Tha Carter V managed to reach, lmao. Talk less of 450M streams, 500M streams, 600M streams before getting to 700M streams. No one is breaking that record for a really really long time (except Billboard reweighs streaming in a way to heavily boost streams).

It's been hell putting this list together, but we move. I'll add them both now. Good find.

As it stands now, to move 1M units using only streams, you'd need to pull upwards of 1.5B US streams. Virtually impossible.

We'll never see a milli first week ever again if the formula isn't updated. Maybe Adele can still do it but who knows. Pure sales have gone down a lot in five years

Scorpion having 25 tracks was ahead of its time

A lot of 20+ track albums have dropped since then and the highest any one of them has done is 433M. Shows how massive Scorpion was on streaming.

There's probably only 10 artists who can debut with over 300 million streams whenever they release an album. The formula needs an update

We'll never see a milli first week ever again if the formula isn't updated. Maybe Adele can still do it but who knows. Pure sales have gone down a lot in five years

I don't see Adele doing a million first week with her next album. Bundles have been pretty much rendered ineffective with the new rules. A lot of stores that used to sell physical CDs have closed down or stopped selling them altogether since 2015, especially in the US. Pure sales are dead and Adele isn't exactly a streaming beast. To add to all of that, her albums are never more than 11/12 songs so I don't see her having a massive first week on streaming either.

I wouldn't say she's not a streaming beast. Hello peaked with 2.7 million streams on US Spotify at a time where the average #1 on that platform was around 800k streams, it was also the fastest video to reach 100 million views on YouTube at the time and Hello alone gave 25 9k streaming units its release week.

Preventing 25 from being released on streaming services was part of the reason its sales were so massive, I think she'll debut with over 300 million streams whenever her album releases.
