its a cure to the particular strain of influenza of that seasonal period, something which we have 60+ years of research developing (the mutations are somewhat predictable)

i'd recommend opening up google scholar and doing some bare minimum research my guy

Lol ok mr flu scientist. I’m not anti vax just saying seasonal flu vaccine isn’t really a cure for flu and it still kills hella people every year

this is all common knowledge, dont know what to tell you lol

either way the flu doesn't even compare to the amount of damage covid-19 is predicted to cause, so who gives a f***

For literal decades we've been researching influenza strains that are effected by antigenic drift. We're at a point where we can predict how its going to mutate and create vaccines to treat it consistently. We can "cure" something, but if it changes into something else then we'd need to "cure" that too? are you ed?

We get it bro u took freshman microbio. Point is the flu kills people every year and will continue to do so; hence, no cure.

    Something like polio is cured

    Nope, just not ed.

A recent polio outbreak was in September of last year in the Philippines.

This and the other one u deleted are just bc of a s***ty version of the vaccine. Not really the same reason why the flu kills people

You've literally just made my argument for me, the polio vaccine and the flu vaccine do the exact same f***ing thing.

Did you even read what you posted? It’s because they have a s***ty, cheaper version of the vaccine. Here in the US there’s no cases except people that don’t take the vaccine

Yes that's because they use the vaccine consistently, and It doesn't mutate like the flu does. But it does the same thing, did you not just read what I just posted? There is no "cure" for polio, only a vaccine. The "flu" is just like the "cold" it's not a specific virus you dum dum

The polio vaccine in its full dosage is a cure considering there’s no cases when properly applied.
How can u not see how that’s different from the flu

Okay let me explain this like you're a 5 year old.

    We have:

    A - Polio (WPV1)
    B - Polio (WPV2)
    C - Polio (WPV3)
    D - Chickenpox
    E - Swine Influenza
    F - Measles
    E - Some new flu strain w.e

These are completely separate viruses and had to be "cured" at different times, in different ways. The "flu" is a blanket term for a type of virus which mutates. But every year we get a new vaccine that was developed to "cure" that particular strain. You know why we can't "cure" the common cold? because it's numerous different viruses that mutate even faster then the flu and we would have to have a vaccine for each particular one. It's basically impossible. There is no such thing as a "cure" for a virus, we create a vaccine to prevent a specific virus from re-occurring.

Your definition of "cure" is inherently wrong.

Here's some more facts for your slow ass

"A disease is said to be incurable if there is always a chance of the patient relapsing, no matter how long the patient has been in remission."

You can be "cured" for Influenza X, you will not get that virus again. But then Influenza Y comes along, and you're not cured.. why? Because it's a different f***ing virus you ed.

how are you going to say someone else is dumb for literally saying the exact same thing you were trying to tell me on page 1

Because you dum dums think "the flu" has been the same thing since the dawn of time and didn't know its a blanket term for different viruses. If you want to cure "the flu" then no theres no cure, because it's not a specific virus.

i gave you two too much credit, this s*** is common knowledge
