I always forget how incredible big Rihanna is. Like Beyonce she made the list 2 times. But while Beyonce got atleast 2 classic albums, Rihanna got really only got her huge singles. Does she have any album that is any good?

    ANTI pretty good imo

First thing I noticed is that they tried to pass one and push Bey over 50

    It invalidates the whole list.

This is the Billboard writers' voted best artists of each year. If we go by numbers

    2000: Destiny's Child
    2001: Destiny's Child
    2002: Nelly
    2003: 50 Cent
    2004: Usher
    2005: 50 Cent
    2006: Chris Brown
    2007: Akon
    2008: Chris Brown
    2009: Taylor Swift
    2010: Lady Gaga
    2011: Eminem
    2012: Adele
    2013: Taylor Swift
    2014: Justin Timberlake
    2015: Taylor Swift
    2016: Adele
    2017: Ed Sheeran
    2018: Drake
    2019: Post Malone

Tbh this list looks much more accurate

Wayne definitely had 2008 on lock though. That must have been before his UFC match with Rihanna.

    STUFF

Then it’s Kanye West with Yeezus era: Bound 2 video, married Kim, had North, dissed JT, New Slaves performances and eventually Yeezus, etc.

    Only rivalled by Taylor Swift.

    Fun fact:

Lady Gaga had such a stronghold on pop culture in her prime that she was the #1 most Google searched person every month from 2009 to the middle of 2012. She was even more searched than MJ the month he died

she was HUGE as f*** tbh

Came out in the second half of the year. Also that’s objectively less hits than I just listed

How are you disputing the actual numbers? That chart is objective

Also I’m 22 so I was very much around for 2008

No criteria just BB writers voting

pretty sure it's based on chart data/sales since that's Billboard's only reason for existing.

drake deserves 2016 with one dance, hotline bling, and controlla

It's not, billboard has a lot of opinion based lists too, their actual criteria-based "Artist of the year" list doesn't match this
