what is with her team and stealing art, she already had that controversy like last year where her team just straight up stole s***
Billie Eilish is giving everyone the chance to change their lives by having their art shared by one of the most popular artists in the world and yet people manage to find a way to hate on her for it. Crazy.
Nah this exploitation.
Didn't sza do the same thing and when ppl pointed that out ppl on ktt said they just hate women lmao
This reminds me of Highschool when the winner for senior shirts got 2 free homework passes
i’ll submit my art of her getting f***ed by an orc
Can you send it here first? We want to make sure it's good
yes, the exposure is worth a lot.
ok but consider that the merch will probably bring in like a few hundred thou tho. and a good chunk of that sum is due to the design. and none of that money will go to the designer...

She wanted to bring out fans to be in a music video I think and people said she was just tryna get some free labor

I thought it was some photoshoot she didn't end up paying for bc she didnt use it

Yeah that did happen. I forgot about that lol
all these artists are so f***ing annoying on this matter. you'll make so much more money in the long run from working with one of the biggest stars on the planet than you'd ever make from being commissioned proper for something like this

the only people upset at that are teenage autistic furries on twitter

No, you will most likely remain a completely broke no name, while the one piece of art that actually could have gotten you cash flow to advance your artistic career rakes in hundreds of thousands of dollars for someone else that you will never see a penny of

do u understand how art works? u dont get a piece of the pie for every sale, u negotiate a one time fee that grants the client marketing rights. now u could refuse to negotiate that, but that'd be f***ing stupid for a project like this and no client would ever agree to it.
man what happened to people being excited about opportunity lol. people used to jump at stuff like this
imagine your resume if you could put this on there
there are probably already thousands of design submissions while mfs complain on twitter

it's a pandemic. Niggas are resigning from jobs.
We changing the standard lol. If niggas with money want our labor, they gon' have to pay the f*** up.

ill say it again
yes the exposure is valuable. but the simple fact is that merch will bring in a few hundred thou. how much is thanks to the design? At least ten thousand, I'd say. A small payment of a few hundred would be far below fair, and they won't even offer that.
There's an argument to be made that taking unfair deals is part of the come up. Just gritting ur teeth and bearing that weight is part of getting initiated. But I'd say that's a terrible way of doing things. It's the way things are, yes. but it's not the way things should be. When you see s*** like the migos 360 deal, don't you think something is going wrong? Think about why you feel inclined to stand up for those frankly exploitative practices.

i wouldnt blame an artist for refusing something like this. but all these artists saying that no one should agree to this contest is ridiculous

Do you know how s*** like what Billie is doing works? Learn to read. You don’t get a a flat fee. You don’t get anything.
