i didnt think i'd ever say this about a billie eilish song, but the outro of bittersuite into the start of Blue just gave me chills ha
the production is so good on this
@Childhood damn just got to the acoustic guitar section man lol
2nd half of L’amour they cooked
Probably gonna be an unpopular pick but the first half of L’amour might be my favorite section of the album
The Diner is a swing and a miss for me, this sounds like it’s meant for the soundtrack of a Baz Luhrmann film or something
I enjoyed her first two albums quite a bit. But this is the one that made me a genuine fan.
I think this is all incredible stuff

It's been a steady climb for me. Thought the first one was interesting but a little too edgy and gimmicky
Then she leveled up her songwriting on Happier Than Ever
Now it's all come together on this one
Funny enough nothing has ever topped “don’t smile at me” until now personally and that EP holds a special place in my heart
Yeah so I relistened to this again and I'm not gonna even really sugarcoat it this isn't moving me at all.
I've called Happier Than Ever a flawed album in here, but that surely left a much more impactful first impression than this did and it's not even close. While the "production" on that album can be viewed as weaker, the songwriting definitely filled in the gaps and told a very clear story from the first song all the way to the last.
With this new one, everything just washes over me kinda like the album cover (lol). On paper, the sounds are great or whatever but I just really don't see myself taking away anything from this project upon these initial listens. Nothing on here is sticking like the highs on Happier Than Ever or the debut at all.
This isn't a bad album or anything, but I simply just feel kinda indifferent towards it which sucks cause I have liked and lived with Billie's music quite a lot in the past. We'll see if she drops a double album, but right now I just don't really feel anything strongly.
I think it might take a while for her to top her debut album for me but I’m fully convinced now shes capable of doing it
This album shows shes not a flash in the pan, shes legit progressing as an artist. Good album, had a few personal gripes like I wish pop stars would go back to 2-3 minute long songs, and I think acoustic guitar is so overdone right now. But the best moments are some of her best period
This is a lot better than her last album imo
