Fair enough. All I'm saying is: is there a "right" time to reinvent yourself? I'd rather be known as an artist to reinvent than be irrelevant. Weeknd does it well
Weeknd wears a new jacket and calls it an era
Y’all love to ring the alarm way too early
Song didn’t even drop more than a week ago. Chill
Youre literally just missing the point. The reason this is not compelling to alot of peope is because it is not what they fell in love with in the first place, i respect that she is trying to go in another direction and i definitley think artists shouldnt stagnate but the direction she chose is clearly not working as effectivley as her old style and she should have tried something else. It is possible to stay true to the sound people fell in love with and still move her style forward in ways she hasnt
Yeah she could build on the foundation she already built instead of abandoning it all together. As an artist she's free to do that but we as fans aren't obligated to follow her
as long as she accepts the nature of it and doesn't lash out on us then it's not a problem
Next album will be different. Then the next one. That's her
True, she's a real artist and the media is jumping through hoops to ruin a 19 year old girl's self esteem
She explicitly said she doesn't feel comfortable and yet they try to criticize her every move, pathetic

kanye is a great source at this its gotta be over time be more interesting and go someone different you cant go from edgy to basic/generic and expect the same results
Once again, Im not talking about the look im talking about the music. When was the last time you listend to her 2019 album? Compare either of these singles to songs like xanny and you should see me in a crown and they are nothing alike. Those were the types of songs that got me on board

Do you listen to Billie Eilish? You followed her since her debut EP?

On Thursday she dropped her latest single, called “Lost Cause,” following a disappointment with “Your Power.”
Now “Lost Cause” seems like an actual lost cause. The single has sold just 2,600 downloads, pushing it down to number 35 on iTunes. With streaming, the number is higher– 53,800– but on Spotify’s Global Viral chart, “Lost Cause” is at number 13.
Is she done?
why this video look like a dove love your body campaign
@Goo
Idk you seem drunk
New song still sounds like Billie Eilish
Plus she was always pretty versatile anyway

This is after you just said you have never listened to Billie before 2019?

Everyone speaking on rebranding/reinventing, do not listen to her music, yet want to commentate on this imaginary fan who is bothered
Who are you speaking for?

Absolutley if you make two projects in a row that stylistically sound the same i probably wont be interested unless i really really liked that style

These 2 songs could be bonuses on any Billie album

early 2000's sugababes type beat
This is after you just said you have never listened to Billie before 2019?
I do not claim to be a billie eilish historian, i am simply comparing the style she blew up with and the style she has now and why it makes sense its not working as well as her 2019 album
Absolutley if you make two projects in a row that stylistically sound the same i probably wont be interested unless i really really liked that style
I really misinterpreted this conversation: I thought you were speaking as a day 1 fan. I assure you, we are not going to stop listening to her because she's growing as an artist
These 2 songs could be bonuses on any Billie album
They wouldn’t have fit on the last album at all what
