Free YoungBoyThis is a bad mindset imo. Ofc s*** is exaggerated online but those are often real people making these posts and comments. Those posts lead to dudes (mostly young men) developing body dysmorphia about their height/looks.
Grown men like me and you can separate online from real life but what about that 16 year old kid who’s seeing this s*** and then feeling bad about himself and then falling into the redpill/black pill s***
That leads to a whole nother dialogue about body politics in the online era and if censorship regarding certain topics on social media platforms should be allowed (i say no cause thats a slippery slope)
And once again, the dialogue around this was 100x worse back in 2011. Niggas was making MALICIOUS light/dark skin jokes, talking bout natural hair being ugly, every Serena Williams muscled joke that we let fly, Drake homophobic jokes, transphobia? WHEW, etc.
Ciara shoulda sued twitter and mediatakeout lmfao.
What changed between then and now as most of us that remember those “non-PC” times vividly didn’t turn red pill?
which goes into a whole conversation of society killing “third places” like the malls and other places where niggas had to actually be outside in order to make connections and friends but thats a whole other thread
