i agree with public consensus that

Athens, France is better on here then single

Sunglasses is inferior here then single

the two new songs are fantastic though, opus breakdown is fantastic its the band in all cylinders

let me say this also

if your expecting the performances to be like live shows you will be disappointed the performances are more subdued

i thought this was gonna be a classic smh

havent watched any of the live shows, just wanted to see what the hype was about

how you gonna take “fuck me like you mean it this time, Isaac” off sunglasses

record is stellar tho, just wish they wouldn’t have dropped the whole thing as singles

I’m really enjoying this album! All those people on RYM were talking s*** about the remake of Sunglasses but honestly I don’t mind it

I like sunglasses original more but Athens, France has improved on album version

Yep pretty much the first great album of 2021 imo(at least that I’m aware of). SUPER excited for Squid’s album in May tho that could easily be one of the best albums of the year

what's the deal with this, been seeing a lot of hype for this, never heard of it

They come from pretty well known south London pub when they had couple viral live performances around late 2018 and 2019 and they slowly releasing all material they played live

This is their debut. They sorta are like slint if you wanna comparison

experimental rock/post-punk band coming out of the hyped-up south london scene that’s inspired by Slint, The Fall, Gang of Four, etc.

not sure if you’ve ever heard of bands like Black Midi or Squid but if you have & you don’t like their music then you’re probably not going to like this.

cant stop listening to this, it's fantastic.

went to my local shop and picked up the vinyl on Sunday, the lyric booklet it comes with is great. The writing is mesmerizing.

I get how ppl feel that way but I love how theatrical it is
