Crazy thing though it’s not just the divestors that do this now. People literally on Twitter talking bad about black men just because it’s the wave now. I remember a girl said she never dated bm but she could talk about them because they need to be held accountable.

I type “black men” on Twitter just to see what crazy stuff we need to take accountability for. You even got the black gay men talking crazy like they not black men

Homophobia and transphobia has always been rampant on there. S*** it was rampant on Twitter in the early 2010s. Still is in the black community irl. Which is why I have no idea how straight black men can really sit up here upset that gay black men and transfolk don't f*** with us and say wild hateful s*** about us.

S*** is cause and effect. It's simple mathematics. The hate you put forth is gonna return. That's just the way the world works. You can't be homophobic and call gay niggas f*gs and sometimes assault them then be surprised saying something like "I can't believe these gay black men are saying we should all be dead!" come on now

Some positive s*** at least. Haven't heard anything about what's going to happen to the woman who lied, but I've seen them doing cartwheels defending her actions saying "She didn't lie for nefarious purposes, she did it because she was scared"

At the very least the man who was falsely imprisoned for 40 years, Walter Forbes, has been released and he's getting two million. Which to me is nowhere close to enough money for having to sit in prison for 40 damn years. But this is unfortunately how it goes in these scenarios. Give the black man money and just forget all about it.

What are y'all takes on this? I've conversed with a lot of men who almost fear having a daughter because "What they'll have to deal with". Are the guys aware that other boys/men are potential threats to their daughter's well-being?

Take TI for example. Dude has said he takes his daughter to a gynecologist to get her hymen checked to ensure her virginity is intact. More recently on his podcast, he says that spending time with his daughter is to ensure that she isn't hanging around boys or being sexually active. An act he repeatedly referred to as "thot prevention hours".

Are the men who carry this sort of energy fully aware of what other men are capable of doing to women? Do they fear having a daughter because it might entail facing the reality of their past treatment of women, and that men will possibly treat their daughters the same way?

We all see some of those "funny" prom photos with the fathers posing with a bat or gun next to their daughter's prom dates. So clearly men know how other boys/men get down. So I'm just always left wondering why don't men raise their sons to respect/protect women? Why do most men blame victims of sexual assault/harassment with "Well what were you wearing?" or "Were you doing or saying anything that gave him ideas?"

It's a lot of dudes who get on social media talking about women duck accountability, and I never understood that because what is it that they're supposed to be held accountable for necessarily? If most men can agree that men are potentially harmful to women and they fear the responsibility of raising a girl in a world where men do them foul...shouldn't that mean men should he held accountable for not raising their sons properly?

I'm probably wording this poorly, so I think this question will do a better job in getting my point across. Would you want your daughter to date someone who thinks and acts like you at your current age?

For sure, it makes me think of the Kanye song Violent Crimes. I feel like it points out something a lot of men might feel when they become the father of daughters. Some look at having a daughter as "punishment" for how they treated women growing up. Very weird way to look at it.

But back to your point definitely a clear difference between protecting and controlling, but it all goes back to us knowing how men can be towards women. I think it's something all men should recognize and begin working towards correcting so in the future having a daughter won't be seen as a punishment, or fear the responsibility of raising one.

I'll never understand the mental gymnastics some black people make in order to find some way to shame black people and defend white people saying the N word.

Gay people use "queer" and "f*g" among themselves in friendly manners all the time and you don't see people losing their minds at not being allowed to say it, or even wanting to say in general.

Why do black people always have to be the ones to share our culture and our language and things we have reclaimed for ourselves, especially when it was mocked (and still is mocked) by the people who want to take from it?

The whole "black women will save us" thing, while I believe has merit, has been making me feel extremely uncomfortable now that it seems like politicians have co-opted it. I feel like they were mocking black people and our lack of trust in doctors by plastering a black nurse as one of the first people to take the vaccination.

Now this ain't an anti-vax thing it's moreso...aight who gives a f***? Just because they gotta black woman getting the vaccine that automatically means black people's feelings towards doctors are no longer valid?

How they paraded Kamala Harris around (and I already got my own feelings about her) and Stacey Abrams as well it just feels so performative.

Maybe it's just because I don't trust politicians and the US government for s***. But I just really don't like how we've seemingly been getting used throughout 2020. It's not just in politics, but media too in TV shows, commercials, etc.
