There's too many nonblacks on here in our business. We really need to campaign for a section tbh

Yeah, Everytime there’s a thread in music section concerning something about black folks they flock and get their opinion off. Every section really. A lot of non black posters on this site show their true colors in those threads. A black section would be good
Even in this thread a lot of us argue and disagree but I think at the end of the day we all just want what’s best for black people just different ways of getting there

Yes, the fact we're all Black is a big difference. Nonblack people budding in just feels antiblack. Like why tf you involved? Bye.
It's actually so insulting. Like they think their opinion matters... Gtfo.
Advocate for reparations and Haiti, etc,. Since you wanna be in our business.
how so?
i am a producer at a news station in a mid-sized market in the midwest. i am one of three black ppl that work at the station, there are also a few other hispanic ppl. management makes it so hard for our reporters to do stories that impact black and brown ppl. they often write it off as not important enough. and the discussions they have in the newsroom about those issues and stories are honestly disgusting. all they care about is white ppl.
how so?
and then they have the nerve to task me with producing a race town hall and a black history month special and pretend to care about these things. it's so performative.

I appreciate you brother 🙏🏿 Hopefully I can leave soon
I been very vocal about race at work and I know my white coworkers think I’m walking around like I’m Malcolm X or Fred Hampton or some sort of revolutionary but I’m just asking them to not be so s***ty
"dope is death"
!https://youtu.be/Ua-m7AANkQ4"With blight ravaging New York City in the 1970s, the Young Lords and Black Panthers fought for radical change in their communities. Through the leadership of Dr. Mutulu Shakur—Tupac Shakur’s stepfather—these activists created the first acupuncture detoxification program in the United States. While the legacy of the program has long been maintained by the residents of the Bronx and Upper Manhattan, the individuals responsible for its creation have suffered from decades of state-sanctioned persecution."
extra pamphlet from one of the ny panthers https://archive.lib.msu.edu/DMC/AmRad/capitalismplusdope.pdf
found audio of him reading the pamphlet himself:

the channel that it was posted to is a good resource in itself

That’s something that’s another problem. Even when a brother or sister make it they still gotta do with office politics that’s usually racist towards them. Black folks gotta play the game and be on their s*** 100% of the time cause they will alienate you or get rid of you with the quickness

Good read! Kwanda is great, at first they were predominately focused on the money going into UK black communities but it’s now pivoted towards Africa, I think it’s only in its first phase too
Some of those videos coming out of south beach of black folks rn are straight up stupid
