There have been situations where non lethal methods have worked though it might not solve everything but somebody doesnt have to get shot everytime

California, Specifically LA is the front runner of non lethal. It's their protocol to engage with less than lethal first for a suspect with a non firearm weapon.

They saved a lot of lives using it, in which otherwise they would of been shot dead.
