I do agree on this point. There are actually many books that cover the topics of "white guilt to white savior". In fact, many discussions on race and how to be an ally to people of color often cover that in order to be an ally you cannot put your own gain first. You be an ally cause it's just the decent thing to do. Not for some reward. Which I do believe white people and non-Black people get lost in the sauce with frequently whether they realize it or intend for it, or not.

However, like I said, the bare minimum is calling out internalized racism when it presents itself to you. If a white girl is telling me she only f***s with Black dudes and starts s***ting on white men, I'm gonna call her weirdo and stop f***ing with her plain and simple cause she clearly got some issues to work on. Imma do that with any race of women. I would hope most Black men would have the self-respect to cut that s*** right then and there, that ends up opening up a whole can of worms.

Do white people have their own struggles with racism and bigotry to deal with? Absolutely. But if identifying and calling out internalized racism that brings harm to the men or women of a group of people is a step, it is a tiny step in comparison to the work they should be doing, but it is a step nonetheless.
