WeezyFthuggabro all i’m saying, is that The History of You has that crazy eye tech which i KNOW is not believable, but its set in the modern day/near future
and isn’t such a stretchh to believe that tech could be real one day
you telling me all cars and all appliances were look like they were from 1969 but they legit also have indistinguishable lifelike humanoid robots and tech that can stream conciousness from space?
Beyond the Sea is my fav episode of the season, relax just pointing out that it didn’t need to be set in 1969 just like Mazie Day didn’t need to be set in the early 2000’s

I think it was important to be set at a time where we havnt done much space travel. Their point of the mission was to see what long term exposure to space does to the human body (also why the robots can't be the ones in space)
If you set it in 2023, or 2050, even if it's an alternate reality where we did not explore space yet, it would be harder for the viewer to believe that their journey was necessary
Also for Mazie Day (which I thought was a bad episode) I think it was necessary to be set pre-smart phone before everybody had a camera in their pocket

BD32First two s6 epis are bottom tier Black Mirror let’s be real here. Stories are mid and the acting is the worst in the show
