Are we just appreciating Sade Adu in here? The other members of Sade are all white Englishmen

Seriously, I don't know what to say to people who don't like Sade. That's one of the lines I draw. What's not to like? Immaculate production, sumptuous vocals, some of the best bass lines of the era. Very consistent discography too.

We can appreciate the others but I really only know the singer Sade put me on

Brooo vocals are so important in music. Imagine not listening to dangelo. It’s your duty to convert her to secular music. She’s religious and don’t even listen to gospel?? What’s the point of being religious then lol

Paul Denman is a fantastic bassist. Hang On To Your Love and Smooth Operator are as great as they are in part because of him. Hang On To Your Love has one of those Billie Jean tier bass lines that stops me in my tracks every time.

Here's a medley highlighting some of the great bass lines driving Sade, s*** is catchy as hell:

Ah, well currently I’m covering the oldies because there’s so many and this section is already covering current artists, not to mention alotta people here are post 2010 rap fan cacs so it’s a nice change of pace to showcase artists not commonly discussed on this forum. I plan to make my way into more current artists eventually. I feel what you’re saying though
