All love to Letitia but Chadwick death took away a legacy run of first Black Panther on the big screen and it’s fully understandable it don't sit right with people. And being the first leading black character that was not a minor role like War Machine or being a second mantle of another hero like Captain America and the fans not getting the full Tchalla’s Black Panther story absolutely stings. Getting the second mantle Black Panther story already in the sequel and further on, robs away the complete story of Tchalla before it even began. Imagine Tony Stark in the first Iron Man movie and in Iron Man 2 we get Pepper Pots as Iron Man. It’s just not right

Shuri was obviously a placeholder until they can do the story the way it was supposed to be. There is a reason why they had Tchalla’s son introduced in the last film and being named Tchalla.

I don't thinkt they have enough confidence in Shuri actress to lead a movie so they will try to pad it out with other big names and characters.

Just do it after Secret Wars and recast TChalla or magically grow up his son

Virtue signaling nonsense that misses the point entirely. Shuri is not T’Challa. When people say recast Black Panther they’re talking about T’Challa specifically. He’s too important a character in the Marvel Universe, in the western comic book world - to only have 1 movie of his own.

I understand the unfortunate circumstances, but Coogler didn't do a good job of handling Shuri in Wakanda Forever. Movie had too much s*** going on when its sole purpose should have been trying to establish her character and journey as the new Black Panther since they decided not to recast.

I still don't trust Disney and my pessimism radar feels they're only excited cause they wanna capitalize off the success of Sinners.
