Eh not a fan but I take over that b**** of Gathree. She is the pirate version of Cersei, just watched 03x09 and the writers used Vane as symbol and martyr in the show while the real one died hung in Jamaica.
He was in war for a cause while she acted that way for revenge, flip-flopping between sides just for a father who almost confined in deadbeat territories.
She shot herself really hard and that discussion Flint pulled about how hate molds you says more about her than Silver.

Guthrie and Max’s mirroring is an important aspect of their arcs and I rly liked it despite the frustrations with Eleanor’s character (which was all intentional by the writers imo they wanted you to go against her after a certain point)

Max makes the choices Guthrie couldn’t though which is a huge reason why I like her tbh. Love a good come up story
