It’s censored
There’s barely any cursing on it anyway to begin with
Wonder if they were influenced by ye
Doubt that, it’s kind of a conscious rap thing to do, Blu has albums where he censored himself and Mos likes him and probably knows him too, I wouldn’t be surprised if some later Mos tracks had him censoring himself sometimes too but I forget right now
Nope
That’s actually a relief to hear going by this thread pre album drop you would think he’d be the worst part it
really impressed with talib’s performance here tbh
just wish he wasn’t being so rude to his fans in his IG comments
some fans simply asking in IG comment sections if the album will be released physically because they would prefer to support BS by purchasing a copy rather than subscribe to a monthly service to listen to the album, and talib been responding to them as if they were being critical of him and being fairly rude. even going as far as accusing them of racism and saying things like he is not their slave, they’re ungrateful, they aren’t his real fans, etc. it’s a bit ridiculous and unnecessary.
I understand fully why the album was released in the format that it is and completely support and agree with their issue with music streaming deals and record labels but there’s really no need at all to be a d*** to your own supporters who are just excited and most likely don’t even really know how the music industry works. taking out your frustrations on your consumers and supporters isn’t good.
i absolutely love black star and am really enjoying the album but talib can be really insufferable on social media and it sucks to see him treating his fans like that

Talib's a f***in a****** nothing new there...he was doing a show with some friends of mine and they almost threw hands over him poppin off and saying stupid s*** and there's plenty of other examples of him being a weirdo...dope MC but that's just what it is
Is this coming out on streaming
if so it won't be for awhile...you can find it on youtube for now if you search it but will prly get taken down eventually

yeah man, it’s like the dude is just always looking for a confrontation
undoubtably a great rapper and I enjoy his podcast too but damn he needs to stop jumping on everybody over the smallest things. the man really needs to just chill and let things go

I only discovered Black Star in like 2005-2006 so I can't call myself a day 1, has Talib always been like this or did he change over the course of his solo career?

idk if he’s always been that way but he’s definitely gotten worse over the years.
I’d say he reached this level around the time he was booted from twitter for his bullshit lmao
Great great album. I don't know where to start with my reaction to it. We've all been on the journey to a new album by the since their first album. Everything with Mos. Everything with Talib. And especially everything with Madlib. I'm just gonna sit back, relax, and play this album to death. Lol.
