Yeah I wanted to make an album about the black experience that wasn’t focused on the painful part. Something that shows black kids in a youthful and fun light bc we really are represented so poorly in mainstream media. But we finished the album before all the racial tension got even crazier in america w George Floyd, makes me wanna go a lot more in depth on the next one but Im glad we have such a happy one
