I don’t think that’s how canon works but it’s a very stylish pick from kubo. I feel like in the show his sense of style came across best from the arrancars, lot of great looking releases from the espada

I just watched bleach in it’s entirety for the first time pretty recently so I’m really excited for the final season. There’s a lot I like but a lot I don’t like at the same time but I gotta see this wrap up

The lack of fighting in the anime is one of the biggest misses imo

There was fighting but with a cast, power set etc as expansive as it was it didn’t feel enough

I wanted to see kido utilized more in destructive ways (we get aizen, kisuke and yama) i wanted to see the visoreds use their f***ing masks in unison with their shikais and bankais or just see more of them in general 😂

The series zoned in on the same 3-4 soul reapers. Ichigo, byakuya, zaraki and hitsugaya and the series really suffered

F***ing travesty we never saw ichimaru actually fight anyone seriously

I hope the new szn is successful enough that novels are animated and maybe even spinoffs of the gotei

The founding gotei with yama, unohana against the og quincies sounds cool or even the pendulum gotei with yoruichi, kisuke and the visoreds as captains would be tight

The characters, lore and power set are just f***ing cool enough that he just needs to plug in some holes but the possibilities for more content is endless. It doesn’t have to be some existential world ending s*** like the aizen or final arc bcus there is much lore. Have something about the royal families, the hell dimension so satan and demons etc it’ll be better bcus the skill set of characters the trippy s*** like reversing your sight or children games coming to life etc would fair better in that environment. Not when you have crazily unbelievably scaled characters like gerard or aizen or ywach. Have it be a more “jojo bizarre adventure” type situation where the creativity of soul reapers powers are actually utilized

I think Bleach is one of those series that if someone legitimately good at writing came in and Tite kinda let him take lead (but worked with him), it'd be the best of the Big 3.

The powers and design outclass OP and Naruto imo, Kubo was just not as good at designing a story as either, and didn't do enough to make the original side chars relevant at a certain point. He just needs someone to fill the gaps in like you said. But I think proportionate to Naruto and that other overdone sack of s***, so much of the Bleach univ hasn't been touched on

Naruto another huge universe with history and lore i never felt the need to have much more explored (bcus they did a pretty decent job on flashbacks in different generations tbh) but bleach has wayy more potential

Like you said kubo is an expert designer and conceptualist, he just needed a writer who couldve helped him make the plots tighter. But like you said the universe and design of bleach blow out the other big 2 by farrrr. Despite the short episode run in comparison to them and less than stellar arcs the fact it’s still crazy hyped shows the potential

I like his villain/antagonist design too, outside of the fullbringer arc. Kenpachi, Byakuya, the espadas/arrancars, Aizen, that was a hot ass run. Yhwach needed better handicaps, but I think the anime will give him more exposition and make him more nuanced than just being an OP sack of s*** lol

the genjutsu using f***er from the fullbringer arc was decently set up until they actually revealed the extent of his power. not to even mention the "twist" kubo went for at the end. that was stinky

you did not just s*** on One Piece THAT hard just to go on and make excuses for the Bleach plot being disconnected, repetitive, power-scaling nonsense for the most part that hypothetical writer you’re referencing would have to retcon everything after Soul Society and rewrite it so it’s not the same arc 8 times in a row

Bleach is only good for char design, the universe and story both start out cool but ultimately don’t go anywhere. Odd could never lmao

I actually like the art style

Shaman king has the potential to be real big if done right

One piece is literally the best of the big 3 tho by far
