    This is not a provocation.

Making this thread because jihad gets a negative connotation and largely a false concept of it has circulated among people for far too long.

Jihad is the rightful struggle against persecution. Which is what BLM is about

And when you see blm being termed violent, nihilist etc etc, which is propaganda, and when its appropriated for an agenda-driven perversion of the movement, it is basically similar to jihad's equation with terrorism or terrorist' wrongful use of the concept

Its the struggle of the weak, underprivileged. Thats blm

Get what ur saying but this is not the one tbh, I don’t see that the concept of Jihad can exist outside an Islamic framework so it’s not really applicable here

If it is like the Jihad why not make it like the French Revolution? :word:

It precisely can because jihad is not for a religious purpose, which is where the confusion comes from. Its an entirely sociopolitical aim

this is sorta incorrect and correct.

jihad is a form of struggle that can be manifested in many different channels, culminating in external and internal jihad, but is almost exclusively a struggle for Allah's will or to propagate his guidance.

there are some modernist scholars that take it outside the context of the religion, but the vast majority of the umma and Islamic scholars propose it to be Islamic in nature.

Most Jihadis are terrorist. Call it what it is. If you disagree with me, then thats a convo for another thread, but don't equate them with BLM.

If you're talking about modern day groups who use that term, probably yes. But those people aren't even fighting for the right cause and twisted what the term means for their own agenda.

Jihad isn't a general term, it's strictly pertains to Islamic war. The Quran is meant to be as literal as possible. Lock this.
