Blue light is my favourite song from Bloc party. I didn't think much of them when I was a kid, but I listened to Silent Alarm as a adult and lt hit differently. Perspective and life experience really allow you to look at albums differently.

I feel this. I always liked it as a kid but didn't think that high of it. But as an adult it really hits different. Blue Light def one of my favs too, although you can't go wrong with any track on the album.
Classic. Saw them play it in full last year.
Saw them too on that tour. Back to front and then they threw in some deep cuts
Front to back perfection. Love this album top 10 of any genre for me.
I always wondered why they didn’t go back to this sound. They got way too experimental and electronic and it just didn’t work. Kele’s voice is f***ing incredible

Yeah I think they tried on 4 but couldn’t find the magic.
The sound on silent alarm is definitely of a time period but it still sounds absolutely amazing and fresh

Agreed, such a great era of rock/pop music. I just made a thread on one of if not my favorite from that time Dog Problems by the Format

This and A Weekend In The City are great but yeah, can't say I fw the direction they went in after that. I'm happy they did it because I prefer that over a band/an artist trying to make the same album over and over, but it just didn't work out unfortunately.
been jamming this album a lot lately
this song isn't on the album but same era, might be my fav jam from them

Real Also one of my favs. Love the interplay they had going on back then.
Qarabag striker Wadji on what Guendouzi said to him after he scored with his hand tonight, a goal that was eventually chalked off: "Guendouzi said to me, you are Muslim, if you don't tell the truth to the referee God will punish you." (RMC)
