Words cant describe the love i feel for this album, the rollout, and everything about everything surrounding that release. Went thru so much s*** during that year and blonde was the catalyst and the soundtrack for it all. the “do you remember the first time?” Slogan is almost a damn premonition or something. how tf he timed it so right for so many of us, we’ll never know. Its almost magic. Living with this album is and will continue to be a lifelong blessing for me.

    this is beautiful

The original Frank Ocean & Jai Paul threads are perhaps some of the most important and special threads on anything music related on the internet. For those that were active users know how many blogs and industry related people were lurking there. There'd be breaking news on the Frank thread and couple hours later would be on Pitchfork. I think the Frank thread had the most pages on the site, upwards of 30,000!

I'm just curious, how big a of a buzz was jai on ktt and other blogs around 2011?

Jai came up during the blog era so he was massive on the online scene. On KTT, it’s one of the greatest recaps of an artists career. Literally from start to present. Lot of creepy s*** and personal info got out which is why it’s quite notorious..
