this album is blowing my mind. thinking clean, somewhere in between, and basically the entire second half are standing out to me rn, especially the three track run of the train, scared of it, and i listened. so much to hear with the layering and progressions of every song, there was a lot of care put into the albums sound and it shows
Last 3 tracks are special. I Listened felt like the closest we'll get to having Arthur Russell back
Never fully checked out his discog but this s*** is beautiful. Arthur russel vibes on some songs

album was amazing front to back man, no weakpoints, and the engineering was topnotch too...excited to relisten to this on a nice fall sunday morning walk
gonna try to get tickets for this tour, the 2018 tour was one of the best concerts i've ever been to and dev is such a great performer all around... it would be worth paying resale...
really need a dev and sampha collab one day, that would be really amazing to hear

damn you're so right it really does sound like him
Just finished listening man.. powerful record. Don’t know if I’m in the right mindset for this album.. but I know it’ll keep growing on me the songs that I really enjoyed. Every project I’ve heard from him just sounds like he puts the most care and effort into his music yet it has this effortless feel to it at the same time.
I’ve seen him around NYC a couple of the times over the years only ever really stopped to say wassup give him a pound but the guy looks like he LIVES to his music if that’s makes sense. Like he could score his own soundtrack lol

No better feeling than walking around busy downtown with his music blasting in the headphones
He does such a good job of capturing that atmosphere
Hes really done it yet again
Another brilliant album!!! Wouldnt be mad if someone had this as his best but negro swan and freetown sound are probably forever my favs

you should def check out negro swan, and freetown sound at the very least if you haven't already,
also, from a 2013 fader interview:
“The people I’ve looked up to my whole life, Philip Glass, Arthur Russell, whoever, maybe they were artists at some point, but they were also just doing lots of s***,” he says. “I don’t know where I’m going to go, but I feel safe.” @DwindlingSun
