Why can’t that argument be made for TPAB?

    WE'VE BEEN SAYING THAT.

    THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT MAINSTREAM

THEY. DICTATE. WHERE. THE. SOUND. IS. GOING. TO. GO.

WHAT. FORUM. ARE. WE. ON. YOU. DUMMIES.

This isn’t true. If WLR flopped the sound wouldn’t have went anywhere, because the album was a risk at the time of its release

Their logic is goofy asl. They really think TPAB was a safe mainstream album and that it was always going to be successful because Kendrick is a mainstream artist.

Imagine in 2017 saying “DAMN follows up Kendrick’s previous mainstream album, TPAB”

Watch them say Section 80 was mainstream next

Section .80 was released before he got signed with the machine DUMB NIGGA.

Saying something is not mainstream does not make it underground.

Again, I beg y’all to start thinking about things in color and not black and white

    NOT HOW SUCCESSFUL THEY WERE

You can’t make a new definition of music for one nigga you like

Mainstream and underground are main options in what we are talking about which is delivery to your ears

    Kendrick isn’t underground the end
Isn’t indie at the time we talking the end

If my mom heard the songs he mainstream and she did on the f***ing radio , commercials , black panther and more the end

I promise you they were not ecstatic about that direction, but let these niggas tell it and that’s exactly what they wanted to hear from their rising rap star
